审判Le procès

改編自卡夫卡的存在主義小說，以《觸目驚心》(1960)成名的安東尼．柏堅斯飾演異境人物「K」，一朝醒來便發覺警察在旁，說他要接受審判，但無人告訴他干犯何罪。為了表示清白，K試圖挑戰司法制度，但悲劇人物始終逃不過卡夫卡式幽閉夢魘。影片卡士龐大，威爾斯依舊粉墨登場，還有法國大美人珍．摩露，負責拍攝的是布紐爾的御用攝影師。影片以黑白菲林呈現超現實的封閉時空，威爾斯在影像實驗中繼續瀟灑前行，從龐大的布景和眾多的群眾演員中，說明了他如何精心籌劃出電影的無邊國度。威爾斯自言這是他的最佳電影。 Adapted from a piece by Kafka and Welles' personal favourite, Anthony Perkins played the tragic protagonist K who woke up one morning, only to find himself interrogated by the police with no apparent charges. No matter how hard K tried to prove his innocence and to challenge the legal system, there was no escape from the Kafkan labyrinth of nightmare, played out by Welles, Jeanne Moreau and an ensemble cast amongst the huge surrealist sets. The black and white cinematography by Edmond Richard creates a claustrophobic Kafkaesque landscape that demonstrates Welles' boundless cinematic vision.
